I Hate Hangovers

Oh dear God! Why can’t we enjoy the delights of alcohol without suffering from the bitter aftertaste?

Oops!

-Hi. I’m home.

-Good. I missed you. How much more do we have to take this ridiculous job of yours?

-Only two more months, and I’ll retire. Then we’ll finally be able to take that cruise together.

-I hate it when you’re gone for so long.

-Me too. But soon it will all be over, no more two day shifts. We’ll be together all the time. So how were your days? What did you do?

-Yesterday I had cheese and crackers for tea, and I thought about you all the time. Remember how much we used to have cheese and crackers together?

-Who are you talking to love?

-You of course!

- Me? Don’t be silly. I hate cheese. You know that.

-What?

-I said I hate cheese.

-No you don’t!

-Yes I do.

- What are you talking about? You love cheese.

-No I don’t. It makes me vomit.
